An application by Moorebank Recycling to establish a materials recycling facility on land adjacent to the Georges river in the vicinity of Georges Fair was lodged with the Department of Planning and Infrastructure in 2006.

Prior to any determination by the Department of Planning & Infrastructure, an extensive process of community consultation, environmental and traffic impact studies and broad ranging  research must be undertaken before any decision on the application can be made.

In early 2011 Moorebank Recycling issued material to the community indicating their intent to provide the necessary environmental submissions as required by the department of planning as part of their application process.

Since this time Investa has been liaising with the relevant authorities, Moorebank Recycling and adjacent landowners and will respond to any submissions lodged by the applicant with the Department of Planning & Infrastructure.

Residents are assured that Investa will review all reports and seek independent advice regarding the validity of the application if necessary.
